Tolerating a 15-story Islamist threat overlooking hallowed Ground Zero is un-American

After reading this New York Post report, we hope New York’s Mayor is merely confused: “Michael Bloomberg said it would be unAmerican to investigate the mosque [sic] that is planned for construction near where the World Trade Center once stood.”

We do not ask for an investigation without cause.

The Cordoba Initiative received its largest donation, $576,312, from Qatar, just prior to the purchase of the Burlington Coat Factory:

[On May 17, 2010], representatives of 9/11 [Families for a Safe & Strong America] met with Sharif El-Gamal, owner and CEO of Soho Properties, the corporation that purchased the two buildings where the mosque will be built at 43-45 Park Place, and asked him to name the investors in the mosque project. Mr. El-Gamal refused, citing the advice of his attorneys, stating that “this is private property” and that “we can build this ‘as of right.’” The property was purchased with $4.85 million in cash.

In Arabic, Imam Rauf changed his story as to where that $4.85 million came from. Barring a full and fair accounting of the money to buy and build the Cordoba House, it should be audited and investigated by legal authorities.

That is not all that is wrong with Mayor Bloomberg’s word: un-American. It is misdirected.

We believe in freedom of faith; all have an unalienable right to believe or not believe in something beyond earthly mortality. Imam Rauf often has said of the Cordoba House, “It is not a mosque.” So, what is true? Rauf admits that there would be a place within those walls for the faithful to pray and it falls within what Muslims define as a mosque. His religion, whether we believe in it or not, is not why we object.

It is Imam Rauf who suggests that political Islam, more specifically sharia law, should rule all nations. Our Nation was founded in liberty; we should never stand silent while a discriminatory ideology is promoted. And we should not “tolerate” its promotion under guise of religion overlooking hallowed ground where genocide was committed and brave American heroes fell.

Rauf has openly admitted he will use that site and “the World Trade Center rubble” for “da’wah,” the call to non-believers to Islam. If he was totally honest, Imam Rauf would admit that da’wah is an offer we can not refuse for if we do, the jihad is authorized.

America need not tolerate a 15-story threat two blocks away from where we paid so dear a price for not heeding the warnings from Islamists. We should never accede to their demands to submit — not at Ground Zero or anywhere else.

Congress must defend 9/11’s sacred ground and expose the Islamist imams

Office of the Honorable Mitch McConnell

Dear Congressman Boehner and Senator McConnell,

Thank you in advance for your time. I would like to ask if you will review and share with your congressional colleagues the following information which includes, but is not limited to, a collection of quotes and documented activities pertaining to a number of Islamic preachers (Imams) in America.

It is important to know that for them, being truthful to Americans would place their agenda in jeopardy; and when confronted, their strategy is to maintain that their words have been “taken out of context,” to dismiss critics as fringe groups who irrationally fear Islam, and to throw out accusations of “anti-Muslim bigotry” and “intolerance”.

They falsely play victim and have no legitimate defense; for it is their prejudices, religious intolerance, and ideological dogma that can threaten safety and civil society.

When the audience is the American public, these particular ideologists will speak of peace, dialogue and inclusiveness. When they are in front of their co-religionists, the conversation changes.

American Jihad: unchecked, ‘moderate’ U.S. Muslim Brotherhood will kill you later

After speaking with ‘The Grand Jihad’ author Andrew C. McCarthy last night, Freedom Radio answered the preeminent post-9/11 question: where are the moderate Muslims? The mainstream media parades one myth after another on TV, talk radio, online, and in the newspapers. America is not fooled. The reason why we keep asking that question is there are no moderate Muslims.

Are we doomed? No. Yet we better first rip the microphone away from the vast, deeply entrenched, and blood-thirsty Muslim Brotherhood’s greater jihad operation — aka CAIR, MAS, ISNA, NAIT, MSA, IIIT, and FCNA — that currently controls the voice of Islam in America.

Here is my 10-minute take, last night on Freedom Radio with Pat. It starts with the last 30 seconds of ‘We Con the World’ and ends with 30 seconds of a ‘moderate’ con man revealing the U.S. Brotherhood’s true intentions, on December 22, 2000, in Washington, D.C. In between those clips, I submit that there is a non-violent way to defeat this growing internal threat to liberty.

You can see some evidence of what I assert here at 911FamiliesForAmerica.org and, better than I could ever present it, read ‘The Grand Jihad: How Islam and the Left Sabotage America.’

Foreign Money Mosque; Arabs to Help Pay (Cordoba House near Ground Zero)

Cordoba Initiative leader Imam Rauf had stated that the $4.85 million to purchase the Burlington Coat Factory came “from the community,” as if to indicate local money. Apparently, raising $100 million plus to build a 15-story mosque at Ground Zero just two blocks north of the World Trade Center requires he reach out a bit further, as a report this morning in the New York Post explains:

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf has insisted the project he’s spearheading is meant to build bridges between Muslims and other religions, but so far he has not been able to cite any specific sources of funding.

But in an interview with Asharq Al-Awsat, Rauf told the newspaper that funding would come from Muslims in the United States and from overseas.

“Imam Abdul Rauf … told Asharq Al-Awsat that the Islamic center will be financed through contributions from Muslims in the US, as well as by donations from Arab and Islamic countries,” the newspaper reported.

Rauf did not return a call for comment.

In interviews with US media, Rauf has insisted funds would be raised here.

“We hope to raise it from a combination of gifts from the local Muslim community and perhaps from some combination of bonds or something like that,” Rauf told WABC Radio’s Aaron Klein last week.

Foreign funding raises red flags for Debra Burlingame, a member of 9/11 Families for a Safe & Strong America, which is organizing to block the project that she says is really aimed at converting people to Islam.

“The money is very important,” said Burlingame, whose brother was a pilot aboard the hijacked jetliner that struck the Pentagon. “They can’t do what they do — I’m talking about Islamists — without the money coming from somewhere.”
