CAIR Exec calls 9/11 FDNY 1st responder a ‘fanatic’ against Ground Zero mosque

Today, terror-facilitator and CAIR director Nihad Awad called 9/11 FDNY first responder and survivor Tim Brown a “fanatic” during a Fox News debate over the mosque proposed for Ground Zero:

FBI surveillance shown as evidence at trial shows Nihad Awad was present during the infamous 1993 Holy Land Foundation (HLF) meeting in Philadelphia. During that meeting, Awad represented the Islamic Association for Palestine in North America (IAP) and discussed with other U.S. Muslim Brotherhood spin-off group members how to funnel “charity” money to Hamas. The IAP later changed its name to the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) and Nihad Awad has long been its Executive Director.

Hamas has been on America’s terror watch list for the past 15 years. In 2008, five members of the HLF were convicted of providing material support to terrorists after it was proven they had transferred more than $12 million to Hamas. Moreover, CAIR was named as an un-indicted co-conspirator in that trial.

CAIR, Hamas, and al Qaeda are all offspring of the Muslim Brotherhood and all of them are Islamists working to create a world caliphate. Some might call Nihad Awad a ‘terrorist’; I would call him worse, with emphasis added.

By the way, 19 Muslim terrorists and their co-conspirators committed mass murder on 9/11. Of the 2,976 they killed, 22 of the victims were Muslims, not “300” as Nihad Awad asserts; his is a phony ‘victim’ narrative.

Ground Zero Mosque Property Developer Comes Out

Over at The Weekly Standard, Stephen Schwartz has the video of Ground Zero mosque promoter and building owner Sharif El-Gamal being interviewed yesterday by CNN. In part, Schwartz had this to say about it:

“Nearly every statement El-Gamal made in this video can be rebutted.”

I’ll add two points to those of Stephen Schwartz.

From June 21 – 28, Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,183 New York City registered voters over the proposal to build a Cordoba House “Muslim mosque and cultural center two blocks from Ground Zero” They were asked, “Do you support or oppose this proposal?” The Quinnipiac University Poll found New York City voters opposed the mosque there 52 – 31 percent.

Why should anyone now believe Mr. El-Gamal about the financing of the mosque and cultural center? He said yesterday, “We will do extreme due diligence … and, ah, we plan on being very transparent.” When El-Gamal was offered an opportunity to be “very transparent” about the Cordoba House * back on May 17, 2010, he hid behind his lawyers. In addition, a recent news report stated (paraphrasing here yet I will find the link) the group will establish a not-for-profit group that will protect its donors.

* Note — While it has been announced the proposed Cordoba House mosque and Islamic Cultural Center has changed its name to ’51 Park Place’, they have yet to figure out what to rename the 7-year old Cordoba Initiative.
