This is my response to today’s editorial in the New York Times.
Out of panic and ideology, Members of Congress, theirs staffs, former and current officials in our government and intelligence services, and even senior members of our military have revealed our nation’s secrets to irresponsible media outlets such as the New York Times. Hiding as un-named sources within media reports has become standard practice since September 11, 2001.
Living with their lack of courage is not an option; these single-minded, self-hating idealists endanger America’s sons and daughters in combat and here at home.
The day after 9/11, one foolish man asked why terrorists had attacked New York and people traveling to California, both “blue states.” We are at war and Islamic fascists murder Americans regardless of political preference. Nor will they spare the cowards and their families on America’s next day of infamy.
