Flag Day: West Chester, PA, post rally update

Patty and I had the pleasure of attending a Flag Day rally at the corner of High and Market Streets in West Chester, Pennsylvania, yesterday. While the trees block your view of part of the 150 to 200-person crowd, you get a good sense of things from this picture posted on the American Sheepdogs website.

Flag Day rally, June 14, 2008, West Chester, PA

Plenty of veterans of the War on Terror, the Gulf War, and Vietnam were on hand. In addition, it was great honor to stand with a Gold Star father, one veteran of World War II (European theatre), and several sets of parents of those now deployed. And we were able to finally meet and chat with American Sheepdogs founder Rich Davis.

Afterwards, we enjoyed the hospitality and good company of Honest Conservative and family. Thank you, HC. We met there Barbara from Virginia who rallies every Friday night outside of Walter Reed in support of our troops. Thank you, Barbara, for being there for them. It was a fine evening after a wonderful day.

Haditha Marine update: June 17 next big day in case

Defend Our Marines contributing editor Nat Helms provides an update about the Haditha Marine case. This coming Monday, June 16 June 17 [Editor — The announcement was put off until 9 a.m. PDT, Tuesday, June 17] LtCol Steven Folsom, the trial judge for the pending court-martial of LtCol Jeffrey Chessani, will render his decision whether to grant a defense motion to dismiss Chessani’s charges because of undue command influence.

To support our troops, we must first stay informed.

If you do not know about the outrageous investigation and prosecution of the eight United States Marines involved, the maximum effective range of your excuse is zero meters; the War Chronicle has faithfully followed and reported on the case from early on.
