Mukhtar’s Memorial Mission; together, we will stop KSM’s next attack upon America

“KSM describes a grandiose original plan … KSM himself was to land the tenth plane at a U.S. airport and, after killing all adult male passengers on board and alerting the media, deliver a speech excoriating U.S. support for Israel, the Philippines, and repressive governments in the Arab world. Beyond KSM’s rationalizations about targeting the U.S. economy, this vision gives a better glimpse of his true ambitions. This is theater, a spectacle of destruction with KSM as the self-cast star — the superterrorist.” — page 154, 9/11 Commission Report

Attorney General Eric Holder wants to fly Khalid Shiekh Mohammed into New York City, cloak him and his four “co-defendants” with liberties they would deny every American, and gamble he can get the worst of the worst past a gauntlet of federal judges and Supreme Court Justices.

We say to President Obama and Attorney General Holder, “We will fight you all the way” and we are calling for reinforcements.

We ask you to join us at noon this coming Saturday, December 5, in Foley Square in lower Manhattan, read and co-sign our letter to the President, and tell your Members of Congress to stop this travesty. (If you announce the rally on your web site, email a link to info911neverforget@gmail.com and we’ll list you in the Honor Guard on 911NeverForget.Us.)

In April 2009, FBI Agent Ali Soufan told Newsweek what they learned from Abu Zubaydah about Khalid Shiekh Mohammed:

“Soufan … showed him photos of a number of terror suspects who were high on the bureau’s priority list. Abu Zubaydah looked at one of them and said, “That’s Mukhtar.” Now it was Soufan who was stunned. The FBI had been trying to determine the identity of a mysterious “Mukhtar,” whom bin Laden kept referring to on a tape he made after 9/11. Now Soufan knew: Mukhtar was the man in the photo, terror fugitive Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, and, as Abu Zubaydah blurted out, “the one behind 9/11.””

Lower Manhattan is hallowed ground.

The streets surrounding Ground Zero on September 12, 2001

Twelve days after 9/11, we attended a meeting of families and firefighters near Ground Zero. As I stepped from the car, my shoes sunk down into perhaps inch-deep pulverized concrete. It was seeded with the molecules of several thousand precious souls and the blood of hundreds of heroes; that dust also covered nearby Foley Square and the same federal courthouse where Eric Holder wants to give war criminals due process.

Khalid Shiekh Mohammed does not want a change of venue; he wants to lord over Ground Zero. Any Article III court trial would force the use of significant amounts of federal and local security assets yet, in lower Manhattan, it would come with a bonus: the need to greatly increase security on nearby Wall Street, at the World Trade Center construction site, and on September 11, 2011 when the Memorial is to be dedicated.

On September 11, innocent civilians in the air and on the ground were the primary target and 2,921 of them were slaughtered. At what was a secondary target, the Pentagon, 55 active duty soldiers, sailors, and airmen were Killed in Action when an unlawful enemy combatant overshot the White House and Capitol area, banked hard right and down, and struck them with a commercial airliner that had been turned into a weapon of mass destruction.

In the air and on the ground, those were all war crimes. Military Commissions were created by Congress to prosecute them and protect national security, both Presidents Obama and Bush have signed the Military Commissions Act into law, and the Supreme Court has recently confirmed them as Constitutional. 9/11 was not a tragedy or homicide; it was an act of genocide committed by war criminals.

That’s why we will be in Foley Square this coming Saturday and ask you to again stand with us.
