‘John Doe’ foils another terrorist attack on America

The enemy is here and America remains a battlefield. Because ‘John Doe’, a yet to be named video store employee, saw something and said something last year, six men who were plotting a terrorist attack against “a heavy concerntration of soldiers” at Ft Dix, NJ, were arrested late Monday evening, as the Washington Times reports:

An FBI criminal complaint said investigators started looking at the men in January 2006 after a video was brought to a retail store and copied to a DVD showing 10 men — including the six arrested — firing assault weapons “in militia-like style” at the Poconos range. The complaint said the DVD recorded the men shouting “God is great” in Arabic and urging jihad, or holy war.

On Jan. 31, 2006, the complaint said, a store official notified authorities about the DVD. Two FBI informants later infiltrated the group, recording meetings and telephone calls with the suspects as they considered attacks on U.S. military bases, the complaint said. Authorities also put the men under surveillance while they practiced their attacks in the Poconos, training with paint-ball guns, test-firing weapons and watching videos of al Qaeda founder Osama bin Laden.

The men were identified in court papers as Mohamad Ibrahim Shnewer, 22, of Cherry Hill, a U.S. citizen born in Jordan and employed as a cabdriver in Philadelphia; Serdar Tatar, 23, of Philadelphia, born in Turkey and legally residing in the U.S. who worked at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Philadelphia and as a deliveryman at his father’s pizzeria: and Agron Abdullahu, 24, of Buena Vista, N.J., an ethnic Albanian born in the former Yugoslavia who is legally residing in the U.S. and works at a Shop-Rite Supermarket. Also identified were three brothers, Eljvir Duka, 23, Dritan Duka, 28, and Shain Duka, 26, all of Cherry Hill, who are ethnic Albanians born in the former Yugoslavia who reside illegally in the U.S. and operate Colonial Roofing and National Roofing.

One of the informants, identified only as CW-1, developed a relationship with Shnewer and, according to the complaint, was told by Shnewer to view a video of “what appears to be the last will and testament of at least two of the hijackers” in the September 11 attacks. The complaint said Shnewer showed the second informant, known as CW-2, a number of videos that “depicted armed attacks on and the killing of United States military personnel.”

The informant asked Shnewer what made him think of Fort Dix as a target.

My intent is to hit a heavy concentration of soldiers,” the complaint quoted Shnewer as saying. “This is exactly what we are looking for. You hit four, five or six Humvees and light the whole place [up] and retreat completely without any losses.”

The Arizona Republic published a list last night of just some of the terrorist attack plots that have been foiled here since 9/11. Yet they failed to mention that Christopher Paul, a Muslim living in Columbus, Ohio, was arrested last month for plotting to attack targets here and abroad:

Christopher Paul is depicted by investigators as a man who made that statement during a stay at an exclusive guest house for al-Qaida members in Pakistan in the early 1990s. He then spent years providing money and training to others who would join him in plotting to bomb European tourist resorts and U.S. military bases overseas, the U.S. government said Thursday.

In a letter to his future wife, Paul even reflected on his desire to one day raise “little mujahideen,” or holy warriors, according to a federal grand jury indictment.

The investigation into Paul spanned four years, three continents and at least eight countries, FBI agent Tim Murphy said.

Paul, 43, a U.S. citizen and Columbus resident, was arrested Wednesday outside his apartment. He is charged with providing material support to terrorists, conspiracy to provide support to terrorists and conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction. The weapon of mass destruction charge carries the most serious penalty, up to life in prison.

Ahmad Al-Akhras, vice chair of the Columbus chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said he knows Paul and the charges are out of character. “From the things I know, he is a loving husband and he has a wife and parents in town,” Al-Akhras said. “They are a good family together.”

Al-Akhras said his group will work to make sure Paul’s constitutional rights are granted.

Yesterday, CAIR tried but missed jumping on the anti-terror bandwagon when they issued this statement on their website:

Based on the information gathered in this case, it seems clear that a potentially deadly attack has been averted. We applaud the FBI for its efforts and repeat the American Muslim community’s condemnation and repudiation of all those who would plan or carry out acts of terror while falsely claiming their actions have religious justification. “We continue to urge American Muslims to be vigilant in reporting any suspected criminal activities that could harm the safety and security of our nation.” CAIR also requested that media outlets and public officials refrain from linking this case to the faith of Islam. The council asked mosques and Islamic institutions in New Jersey and nationwide to report any incidents of anti-Muslim backlash. Along with innumerable condemnations of terror, CAIR has in the past… [all emphais added is mine]

Christopher Paul is a Muslim. The six arrested Monday for the plot to attack our troops at Ft Dix are Muslims. Everyone of the plotters cited within the Arizona Republic’s story are Muslims. CAIR has provided legal assistance and PR support to many Islamic terrorists here, before and after 9/11. They and the Flying Imams are suing ‘John Doe’ passengers who reported the imams’ suspicious behavior aboard a US Airways flight last November.

While the overwhelming majority of Muslims here are just Americans going about normal lives, nearly all of those who have conducted or plotted terrorists attacks to kill Americans these last six years were Muslims. CAIR trying to say these plots have nothing to do with the Muslim faith is ridiculous. Islamic terrorists are the ones trying to kill as many as they can and seek to impose sharia law here over the survivors.

While ‘John Doe’ is a hero, the folks at CAIR are terrorist sympathizers who are tyring to make us believe otherwise.
